Sheri Repogle is not only an exceptional educator, she is a representation of what EVSD aspires to be. She is driven by a core belief that ALL students can learn. She lives this out each and every day by meeting all students where they are at and pushing them to reach their goals. Her learning experiences are rigorous, and her expectations for her students are sky high. Sheri’s students consistently rise up to meet her expectations and are leaders in our school community.
Sheri teaches in a Designed Instruction classroom, serving some of East Valley’s most impacted students. Her students face a variety of challenges, but Sheri sees these challenges as opportunities. Rather than focusing on what her students can’t do at the moment, she creates ways for her students to participate in every aspect of middle school life. Whether it is learning the same science topics as their peers, winning school spirit competitions, or cutting a rug at the school dances, Sheri ensures that her students get the full Middle School experience.
Sheri is a thoughtful, caring educator and colleague who always thinks of others before herself and goes above and beyond each school year. She has served as a mentor, a friend, and an instructional resource for all of the Middle School staff, but that might not be her most important contribution to our building’s culture. Her insistence that every student can learn, regardless of their circumstances, has been contagious and sets the high mark for staff to aspire to.
We are so proud to recognize Sheri as East Valley's Gem of the Valley as she stands out in all areas as an educator… and human.
