Otis Orchards
Greetings Stellar Crew! We are absolutely over the moon to welcome you aboard the 2024-25 school year mission! Otis Orchards is our vibrant space station, orbiting with approximately 400 stellar PK-6th grade astronauts. As we prepare to launch into this new academic galaxy, we are thrilled to lead our crew of positive, professional, and collaborative educators as we guide our young astronauts through their learning adventures. At Otis Orchards, we believe in launching the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—into orbit! We set our academic and behavior expectations high, like stars, and we make sure to navigate these constellations with clarity and care. Our mission to create a trauma-sensitive environment continues as we focus on building a welcoming space station, fostering strong, positive connections, and teaching self-regulation and mindfulness strategies to ensure every astronaut is prepared for the journey.
We invite all space guardians (parents, guardians and community members) to join our mission by getting involved in our classroom volunteer programs and PTO. Your participation is like stardust—adding sparkle and value to your child’s cosmic journey. Our dedicated PTO crew is ready to bring our space families together with stellar events like Game Nights, Book Fairs, Bingo Nights, Family Outings, Skate Nights, and more!
Communication is our guiding star. Expect weekly and monthly transmissions from administration or classroom teachers. Keeping in touch helps us stay aligned on our mission objectives. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mission Control at 924-9823. We’re always here to assist you!
Attendance is the rocket fuel for future success. Please ensure your astronaut arrives at the space station on time every day and stays for the entire mission duration to maximize learning. Late arrivals and early departures can disrupt the cosmic flow. Good attendance helps astronauts develop the skills needed for future adventures, boosts their self-esteem, and strengthens their bonds with fellow crew members. School hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. If you need to pick your child up early, please notify the space station by 1:30 PM.
I am confident this will be a stellar year for all of us. Let’s blast off together into an incredible adventure!
With Warm Regards,
Mrs. Cheryl Fried, Ed.D. Mr. Jon Thomas
